I think I have always been better at writing rather than illustrating, but today I have spent hours swamped with various brushes, paper, pots of paint and two different tins of watercolour pencils trying to illustrate a children’s book. It has been a very, very long time since I last drew a picture and my paint supplies have long been tossed out, but there is a nice neat pile of drawings on my desk and I can’t help but smile when I look at them.
Is this for a children’s book you have written? Any chance of a sneak peak at the drawings?
I didn’t write this particular book but I am also now illustrating a book I wrote some time ago. I will show you once I finish. I wish I had an extra eight hours in a day so I can work on these book illustrations.
